MITCON’ s Green Power Division (GPD) is now deploying its skill sets and knowledge resources for training and awareness related activities. These activities will primarily focus on the core areas of work of the Green Power Division, i.e. Biomass, Co-generation and Captive Power (BCCP), Captive / Cogen Power Plants (Captains of Industry.

The GPD will follow a holistic approach towards training and capacity building that will focus on all members of the society i.e. school children, students, young professionals, industries as well as institutions. 

The main objective behind this initiative is to educate the society about the sound environmental practices as well as encourage people to adapt such practices at local level.  This will not only reduce the pressure on natural resources but also lead to considerable monetary savings.

Another objective of this initiative is to create trained manpower for the new career avenues in the vast area of environmental management.
