India is the 4th largest ecosystem in the World for Starts-Ups, after the US, the UK and Israel with a rapidly evolving ecosystem.

 

  • According to the NASSCOM around 11,500 Start-ups will come up in the Country by 2020, creating over 2.5 lakh jobs, compared to the current 75,000 jobs.
  • Angel and VC funding in India has hit its highest ever mark. Over USD 3.5 Billion has been poured into 380 disclosed deals in the H1 2015.dealsl in the first half of the year have already surpassed the number of Start-up deals in 2014.

 

Scheme

    1. Introduction: In order to avail the benefits announced in the Startup India Action Plan, an entity would be required to be recognized as a Startup. To this effect, it would be required to submit an application along with a relevant recommendation/ support/ endorsement letter. One of the options available to the registering entities is to obtain a recommendation letter from any incubator recognized by Government of India.

 

    1. Objective: To recognize and identify incubators that is eligible to provide the said recommendation letter. This would enable Startups to access a wider base of incubator(s) to obtain the same.

 

    1. Process of Recognition: In order to be recognized by the Government of India, Incubators shall be required to furnish an application through Startup India mobile app or portal. Each incubator shall be required to authorize a person who on behalf of the Incubator would be eligible to provide the required information for the process of recognition.

 

    1. Eligible Schemes under Startup Action Plan for Entrepreneurs: Must be a private limited Company/Limited Liability, Partnership/Partnership firm. Registration should not be more than 7 years if Biotech venture then 10 years. Annual Turnover should not exceed 25 Crores.

 

  1. Till date total 35 enterprises are recognized by MITCON TBI, out of 30 got Start-up ID from Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP).
  1. Scheme is for SC / ST male or any category women
  2. Facilitate through bank loans between Rs. 10.00 Lakh to Rs. 100.00 Lakh.
  3. Greenfield businesses are preferred
  4. Rate of interest is MCLR+ 3%
  5. Setting up new enterprises in Manufacturing, Treading and services
  6. Besides primary security collateral will be provided through credit guarantee fund
  7. 25% will be margin money
  8. Repayment period of 7 years.
  9. Till date we have provided handholding support to 522 enterprises, out of which 126 people applied online for Loan.

 

Support to innovative products through schemes of MSME viz. NMCP & ASPIRE :

We are supporting various Innovative products through National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) The main objective of the scheme is to promote emerging technological and knowledge based innovative ventures that seek the nurturing of ideas from professionals beyond the traditional activities of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).This scheme promote and support untapped creativity of individual innovators and to assist them to become technology based entrepreneurs.

Till date, we have supported 22 Enterprises.

 

A Scheme for Promotion of Innovation, Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship (ASPIRE) has been launched on 16.03.2015 with an objective to set up a network of technology centers, incubation centers to accelerate entrepreneurship and also to promote start-ups for innovation and entrepreneurship in rural and agriculture based industry.

Till date, we have supported 4 Enterprises.
