Opportunity

The youth from Shirwal has an opportunity in wage and self-employment. They needed to enhance and provide necessary skills to youth to make them employable, provide life skills and establish forward and backward linkages for sustainability and better quality of life.

The Result:

MITCON’s Plan:

MITCON, with an association with the prestigious ACG Cares Foundation, devised a thorough plan for 40 villages of Shirwal. It includes:

Focus Groups:

Based on the above data the training programs were designed and trainers, both technical and soft skills were appointed.

Our Process

MITCON and ACF together made available, skill development training at the local level resulting in building trained manpower in 40 villages in Shirwal. It resulted in the increased livelihood of the participants, an increase in employment opportunities due to newly trained entrepreneurs. It increased the youth’s confidence level, generated interest in self-employment, and increased their knowledge of business opportunities and the market.

Out of 906 participants, 345 are employed, 243 are self-employed and 318 are in process of becoming a part of our successful stats.
